We had a major unexpected downtime due an unattended database change, not observed during the upgrade tests. 

Now the site is fully available, and upgrde is finished.

2026-09-15 14:00 UTC (16:00 CEST, 11:00 BRT): Upgrade of Rapid Space master (a.k.a SlapOS Master) to newest version

We are going to upgrade the Rapid Space master (a.k.a SlapOS Master) to a newer version, and as well upgrade its environment for include some bug fixes.

The operation will lead to 40min to 1h of downtime.

The affected sites/services are:

• https://rapid.space/ and https://www.rapid.space
• https://panel.rapid.space
• https://slap.rapid.space (API site, used for command line and servers)
• https://slap.vifib.com (Legacy API site, used for command line and servers)
• https://www.rapidspace.cn
• https://panel.rapidspace.cn/
• https://deploy.rapid.space
• https://deploy.erp5.net

The following sites WON'T be affected:

• https://status.rapid.space
• https://handbook.rapid.space
• https://shop.rapid.space
• https://shop.rapidspace.cn/
• Customers already running services
• Shacache services
• SDN (re6st) services

During the downtime, servers using the API (command line and computer partitions) may fail to report or request services. They will resume normal operation automatically once the upgrade is finished.

An update will be posted here when the migration is started and done.
